I'm wondering if this is because the seals in the turbo are going bad or because I am pressurizing my crank case. Can someone help me find this?

You might want to give us a little more info.

How old is your turbo/when was the last rebuild?

Built motor? Stock internals? if so how many miles?

What color smoke is it?

Blue is oil
Black is fuel
White is coolant

If you give this info I'm sure some of our wise men can help you narrow the problem.

My bad. Ok, the turbo supposedly only had 300 miles on it. the motor has like 60 or so. the smoke color is white blue'ish.

Is it only smoking under boost or is it smoking at idle just not as bad? Also how much boost are you running on what kind of internals? When was your headgasket replaced?

Its only smoking under boost. none at idle or driving. and when it does smoke under boost, its when I'm goosing it from 1st to 3rd & 4th. The engine was rebuilt with stock internals 60k miles ago. running the stock 8lbs from hahn.

If you're running 80psi of idle fuel pressure like you said in your other post, of course its smoking, it's running pig rich.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like you still have a lot of researching to do. You seem to be missing some information that you should know if you turbo a car. There is TONS of information on this board, so I recommend reading until your eyes bleed! (Actually stop just before this happens as I don't want to be held responsible emoji )

I will take responsibility for bloody eyes... Keep reading. 80psi idle pressure is NOT how to do it.

As for the smoke. I zip tied the all the vaccum lines and got a new PCV valve from satan today. It feels like I gained 20whp. The smoke is gone now. Maybe that had something to do with it, or I had to rebrake-in the turbo or something.

And it turns out that with those vaccume lines not ziptied, my bov wasnt working. I was wondering what that chattering was when I let off the throttle. Big difference.

And as for everyone who thinks I dont know what I'm doing. I pretty much dont. Thats why I took a week to install everything. I guess I'm just lucky.

with those 270cc injectors you should be running very close to stock fuel pressure at idle like 40ish

80 psi should be what you are looking at when you go into your upper boost limit (stage 2)

figure if you are running a 12:1

8psi of boost should be like 96ish psi of fuel

you are running hella rich
if you had gauges one of them should at least be a AF
