#95467, "help to choose a turbo"

Hi!

I've read about 1/3 of all the turbo sections of the forum and find a LOT of informations. Now I know I want to turbo and know my goal. Im on a budget and dont want to pay 3300$ (hahn kit), so I decided to go custom. I was searching and see that Streetsource web site. They have for 900.00$ the turbo manifold with downpipe and a Garrett T3 Super 60. Some ppl say it's nice quality and some not. Ive read I can get the turbo, downpipe and manifold for that price with hahn but on the hahn website... manifold : 600, downpipe : 400 and that's without the turbo. I dont think it's the same price :/ Bte my question is for 900$ should I buy it ? Yes I know I have to buy all other goodies like gauge, bov, line, fmic, sfmu...

Finaly just to be sure... is this turbo will be ok for a daily driver car. I want a fast spool since I drive a lot in town.

Thanks all!
(sorry for poor english, im in quebec so im french...)

but in other news, the T3 Super 60 is crap. far too small in my opinion.

I can order 2 other turbo from the same place.. 50 trim or 57. For the super 60 they talk about 350hp max... thats alot for me... I will never pass the 300 mark. Btw for 100$ more I can have the 50trim. If the lag is not more with this one... why not. Here is a pic of the manifold and downpipe.

They are very much exagerrating when they say it is good for 350hp... you would be lucky to see 275hp from it in my opinion.. and that would be with much higher boost then we can safely run on stock rods and pistons. I would advise a 50 trim at the least.

Happy to learn that ! And for the spool (with 50trim), can I see something around ~ 2300-3000 rpm?

2300rpm is a pretty unrealistic goal... it should be right around the 3k range
