#95427, "Need some pointers on clocking my t3 exhaust housing"

Well, I got a new Star manifold yesterday. I buy studs and throw the turbo on there, and when I put it on the engine, the oil return goes straight into the starter with no room for the tube. So I am trying to clock the center section to tilt the Oil return towards the front of the car more and the turbine housing WON'T BUDGE!!! I have loosened all the bolts, sprayed PB blaster, Beat it with a hammer, and it still hasn't budged. I need some pointers. Thanks for the help.

Get a 6 foot long pipe that you can put around the wrench as an extension. I bet it will come off then. emoji

hahaha sounds exactly like what happened when I tried to fit my T3, and I think I made a post exactly like this one on another forum. you need to beat the absolute shit of the turbine housing to get it off, and then you put it back on how you need it. I hit the side of the inlet flange with a hammer wrapped in a cloth, while pulling up on the center section.
It would probably be a better idea to use a piece of wood as an inbetween instead of smoking the turbo with an iron hammer tho.

Oh, you've gotten the bolts off. I thought you were still trying to get those off.

I'm with Bumpin. Get a rubber mallet and get mad at it.

Haha thanks for the info. I usually am too cautious with parts out of the fear of breaking them... But this turbo caused me to only get 4 hours of sleep before work today, so I beat the shit out of it with no remorse and it popped off lol. Thanks
