Ok fellas I was wondering if I should replace my spark plugs and wires? I replaced them when I first bought the car and it has been a few years. The reason I ask is because there are some pretty interesting problems still happening with the car. I can't tell you what it is exactly except that I know that it isn't vacuum leaks because I checked those before I went back to school. I also have a universal fuel filter on there that I will be replacing back to the stock one as soon as I get home. I think that will help out a little bit but not sure if that will take care of the rough idleing. Here are the symptoms that I know of:
-Car doesn't see any boost when driven.. When should I see boost theoritically when first installing a turbo system?
-has no pick up what so ever and bearly reach 80mph in 4th gear which is really pathetic
-Mild exhaust leak on the bottom side between the turbo housing and down pipe.
-Turbo doesn't seem to spoll up right... Then again I am not sure how a 14b turbo with an internal wastegate is suppose to spoll so yea.
-O2 sensor bank 1 is not reading right therefore I am replacing that this weekend.
Those are the problems that I know of for sure. So if you have any idea on what the problem is or what you think I should be doing that would be great. How can you tell is a turbo has shaft play in it? Please only those who know what the hell they are talking about respond. Help me get this project out of my garage and onto the road where it needs to be. Thanks for the help...

Exhaust leak could definitely be your "no boost" symptoms. My friend could barely reach 2 psi on his turbo setup until he replaced his exhaust manifold gasket and retightened up the bolts. All the exhaust was leaking out there and could barely spool the turbo. After that was replaced BAM!, boost was there.

I can believe that. I mean it is only a small leak on the bottom. Do you think that would have that big of an effect to not see any boost?

Yeah, the exhaust leak was burning right through the gasket so basically it was leaking 3 out of the 4 holes of it when we got to it. I would definitely get that changed/fixed asap before it through the gasket.

EDIT: I just reread where your exhaust leak was at and it was AFTER the turbo so maybe the leak isn't your culprit behind the boost problems afterall. Fix that and maybe recheck the rest of your gaskets/flanges and piping/couplers to make sure they aren't leaking as well.

But only under load. you're not going to see boost free-revving the motor.

Idle might be related to your IAC if everything else doesn't pan out.

I can't tell you what I am running for fuel pressure because I don't have a guage hooked up for that yet. I accidently brought a mechanical one instead of a electronic one so yea I messed up on that one. What is the IAC? I have no clue what that is and how do you check it?
