EDIT: Found the mag and snapped some pics, some text might be a little cut off, tried to get as much as I could in the pic:

I know that this is a somewhat old post, but it got me thinking. HEHE, has anybody done anything like this or thought about doing anything like this? I would love to see it done, I might try it. I just need the stock intake and piping and a custom heat shield. The other thing that I would need would be the little box that the cruise control sits in, it could hide the sfmu. What does everyone think?

its a little harder with our turbo location, doesnt sit down under the header like the civic does.

If you go with the extremely cheap theme you could bolt a 14b I think it is to the stock manifold (only 2 bolts line up) and then you have the stock heatsheild and the rest should be easy. Its harder to make an Eclipse a sleeper though since there are factory turbo models... So if you smoke anyone they'll just assume thats what you have and it won't be nearly as impressive.

I was thinking about just extending the manifold that I ordered and making it go down just a little ways and put the collector on it there. The I could use a stock heatshield. I think it would be just as impressive though because when they look uder the hood they wouldn't see anything that would tip them that you have a turbo. Plus it helps when you have the stock 14 inch rims and the black door handles and mirrors. You could also use a quiet bov, like recirculate the stock 1g. I just think that it would be a nice set up.

It's final I am doing it. My friend is going to give me his stock manifold and intake and I am going to hide the sfmu under a black box like where the cruise control goes so it wont look suspicious. Only thing that I really need is a way to block off the a/c hoses and take it out, then get a smaller belt for the power steering. Anybody know right off hand, what size belt that is? Anyway will post pics when finished.

I found my stock air intake system last night. All I need now is the mani and the pipes.
