#94320, "Everything is installed now here are the problems..please help"

Ok so everything has been installed and what not. here are the problems that i am experiencing. If you have any good suggestions please do tell.

-NO psi...
-jerky start as if a new person trying to drive a stick for the first time.
-o2 sensor gauge is reading in the middle and will not move side to side( i think i have a sensor problem)

I know have somethings that I don't know if they are working right. so here they are:
-Internal wastegate opens speradicly and makes and funny noise(not sure but I don't think you are suppose to hear that)
-Opens at low rpms
-when this opens the turbine in the turbo nearly stops
then starts up again if highier rpms are achieved.

Is all of this suppose to happen?

-Looking into the BOV, a little plate raises up as you raise the rpms. Is this right??? 1 gen stock BOV

Thanks for any help.

well the wastegate should not open sporadically it should open when you hit whatever psi it is set for. What kind of wastegate to you have, that may help solve the problem. internal/external, if its external what brand?

Also the BOV should not open while your rpms are increasing it should open when you let off the gas.

Give us a quick run down of your setup and how you have your wastegate and BOV set up and it may be easier to figure out.

The wastegate in internal/stock. I am running a 14b turbo. I have the j pipe and piping going to the intercooler and I have the and the Bov is on the pipe that connects to the intake manifold. It is an inch right after the bend. The wasted gate I set to be closed when it is at idle but opens when I get to 3 1/2k for some reason or maybe a bit later depending how much of the throttle is opened. Which is a bigger problem because there is no boost at all running through the system. So to me it shouldn't be openinging at all. Am i right to say that? But that is pretty much how it is.

disconect the hose on the actuator and ease the throttle. see if the gate opens then. dont hammer it. you do have the hose going from the actuator to the turbine housing right? btw, does your ic flow freely, and there are no kinks in the ic boots.

got that megasquirt!

sounds like the O2 sensor is not properly connected or isn't working. If it stays in the center it should throw a code as well that says quite specifically "O2 sensor not leavining center." I'd bet that is the cause of the gauge staying dead center as well as the jerking your experiencing. It could also cause the rest of the problems too, since your motor is baaarely running as it is.

Well it is official. I went out and started to car to try a couple things out and I threw and engine code. Not sure which one. All auto zone told me what that the o2 sensor was not working and that I would have to get another one. So I had to order that and hopefully i will get it soon.

I will have to try that in the morning. I have a hose connecting the actuator and the j pipe. What will this prove if the gate does or doesn't open? And what do you mean kinks in the ic boots? I am assuming you are talking about the couplers and the pipes... Is this right or am I wrong yet again?

Is the wastegate arm tight? Like, it should be HARD to push it open by hand and be SOLID.

you said the wastegate opens @ a sertain rpm. i was trying to figure out why. the wastegate is probly bad. set the press. regulator on an air compressor to about 5-6 psi and put that into your wg. if it opens at low press. its bad. it should open @ 7-8 IF ITS A 14B. I THINK.see what press. it opens at and let us know.

got that megasquirt!
