#94216, "turbo question"

I was wondering if you guys can give me your opinion on this.

Well, I've been reading a lot. This site is ADDITIVE!!
Anyway, I've read that the "Star" turbo T3/T04B is meant for cars with a lot of hp.
and lord knows mine dosnt have much hp.

Well, there is this turbo on ebay from "thestreetsource" Garrett T3 Super 60 turbo.
He said it can handle up to
350 hp and spools at 2500.
I've read that its not a big turbo and is somewhere in between a 14b and 16G

I want something where I can zip around town.
I want a good low, mid and a decent high rpm range of boost.

So my question is what do you think?
Of "thestreetsource" turbo
Of "Stars T3/To4B turbo

Reason I ask cause there are two kits I like a lot on ebay and I'm researching best I can
on them.

Thanks Guys

For starters, no turbo is meant for a "high hp car", as without the turbo, you would be at stock hp level! Every turbo has a maximum power output (more like how much air they can flow), but this certainly doesn't mean this is how much power you will be running once you install it (I'm sure you already know this). Typically, the higher the output of the turbo, the slower the response (more lag!). It seems that you already answered your question, by suggesting the smaller t3. Even a 14b is not a bad turbo at all. It spools like nothing, and can make some great power (it has powered some GSX's to 11's, and one even to the 10's! - http://dsmtimes.org/times.php?Header_Type=Turbo_14b&Page=1 )

So yeah, I think for your case, since you are just looking for a great street turbo, a smaller one is definitely what you are looking for. Good luck!

'95 GSX - New motor/turbo going in...
'95 TSi AWD - For sale...buy me!
'03.5 MazdaSpeed Protege - Stock daily driver
'97 CBR 600 - Purple is a real man's color
