#93885, "2.4 engine and the STAR turbo kit, hood problem ?"

hey guys I'm currentling helping a local 2gnt owner
ysterday we bought the 2.4 engine from Schoeby on ASOG, with me he has the other Avenger with a 2.4 in Canada, well no more he's parting his car

we will open the engine and put srt-4 internals in it and the guy is going turbo with his new engine

now decision time HRC or STAR , with the 2.4 the HRC 16g may be too small and the t3/t4 of the STAR kit will spool earlier than on the 2.0 and may be a better choice but will the hood close with the STAR kit ?

someone know ? I think Dino had that kit before
and onebaddsm98 was one of the first to do the 2.4 swap and he bought one of my turbo flange to do something custom because of hood issue also but I don't know if he had the STAR or the NER kit

Alain

one of the 2.4 true pionners

If you use the stock Deltagate, the hood closes fine. it's my TiAL that hits the hood.

Just to make this a bit clearer. Using a star manifold with a TiAL WG, you WILL have issues with hood clearance. Correct?
