Hi, I am currently debating on wether to buy a evo III 16g turbo kit from this guy in my class. He said it has about 1000 miles on it. It comes with a SMIC and a 1g BOV with all the piping, he said he also has the oil line that goes on the turbo with all the fittings, but no oil feed. He wants 450$ for everything. I just want your guys's help here i dont wanna get screwed over, anything particular i need to look for, about turbo, or the BOV, or w/e and this one has nothing to do with the question, but id also like to know where i can buy a custom made manifold that i can bolt that 16g on, a good manifold that wont crack.

And by the way my car is 1999 RS 420a bone stock that i wanna turbo so bad, ofcourse i dont wanna buy this and bolt it on, i just wanna buy it since it seems like a good deal, and gather other parts as well, b4 i go boost.

Your main focus should be on the turbo itself. Does it have any shaft play? A lot of people will tell you it has a certain amount of miles, but by looking at it you can't really tell how many miles were really on it. Check to see if any of the fins are bent and how much play the shaft has in it. Tell him you would like to take a look at it first. Is it still in his car or is it already off his car?

no, his car is totaled long time ago, the turbo kit is at his house. He said there is no shaftplay, but I will go and check, anything else specific about BOV or SMIC that i should care about, and my question about the manifold, where should i get a custom made one that will fit the 16g turbo, Im guessing its a T3 flange right, or im just saying stupid stuff
