#93458, "clocking turbo from star stage I kit"

well I think I just read every post about clocking turbo's but none of them were specific to the t3/t4 that comes with the star kit and I read things like this, "It's a long process... you have to take your time getting it all ligned up... plus the large snap ring that holds the CRH to the comp housing can be a bitch...." Anyways I'm wondering if anyone has done this because I am tired of my shitty piping and big boost leaks and was wondering if it was easy. Some responses said it was a PITA and others said it was simple, but like I said I don't think any were specific to the star turbo. Also if anyone has done this with the star stage I, can I clock it without actually taking the turbo off? I'm assuming its just a matter of taking off or loosening the 6 bolts or so around the compressor housing, but was reading stuff about some ring on certain turbos you had to watch out for. Anyways this got way to long

edit: if anyones got a star front mount and piping for sale I may take it off your hands

well on my t3/t4 you just have to losen the golden bolts on the compressor housing and turn the compressor so it fits the way you want it too

#94754, "Question--Compressor housing torque specs?"
In response to Reply # 2

Just wondering if there were specific torque specs for the bolts on the compressor housing of the t3/t4 from the star kit?

I'm about to take a can of pb blaster to clock this thing for my new fmic and figured I'd check. Hopefully this won't be bad and I won't have to remove the turbo from the car

Yeah this threads old but I started it and it's related.

TIA for any help
