I'm going to be ordering all the plumbing for my turbo project and am lost on the fittings. I thought that NPT fittings were measured like bolts, but they must be different because I saw a 3/8" NPT fitting at Advance Auto and it sure looked like it had a larger outside diameter than that. The fittings are for a Big 16G. My question is what NPT sizes would I need? My two water holes are 1/2", the oil return hole 7/16", and the oil feed flange I'm going to use is 3/8". Also while I'm at it will -6AN SS hose work alright for my water and oil lines? Thanks.

Well I went to Lowe's and was able to get the water line fittings and a fitting to weld to my oil pan for the return. I'm going to have to take a tap & die set and neck down a fitting though. I could find one to fit the 7/16" oil feed hole. I've also got another question and yes I searched. What all fittings will I need for my oil feed line, excluding the one that screws into the turbo? Also will it matter on my water line holes which I use for the feed and which for the return? Again thanks.
