Sup guys, I am looking for some help on which turbo to run. My goal is 350-400 hp after boost, and mid 12 sec runs in the 1/4 mile. My setup is listed below, and I am stuck between 2 turbos. The 1st is the notorious S20G. FOR ANYONE WHO OWNS THIS TURBO, please let me know where boost kicks in around. I know this is capable of the HP i want. The question here is, a guy i know is selling a brand new Ball bearing Garrett 60 trim turbo. I know nothing other then that about it. Ball bearing= faster spoool, but I'm not sure what the HP abilities or performance facts of this turbo. Does anyone know where this turbo's boost kicks in? or better yet, the diiferences of that and the 20g? Ive got money in hand, but i dont want to make a mistake buying a turbo that may not achieve my goals. TIA. p.s- I KNOW a turbo is more then I need to reach my goal already, as i plan to get it tuned immediately after the instal..

"Garrett 60 trim" is very broad, as this could mean any number of many garrett turbochargers. I can tell you that the Super 20G turbo that I'm selling in the For Sale Forum (shameless plug) is perfect for 350-400 horsepower setups. Spoolup is not an issue with the Super 20G... it spools quick and makes for a perfect street/strip setup.

As Doug said, garrett 60 trim is pretty vauge.
Area ratio (A/R) is the way compressor housings and turbine housings are sized. The bigger the A/R numbers, the bigger the housing size. On the exhaust or turbine side of the turbo, typically a bigger A/R will produce better flow but induce more lag due in part to a lower internal gas velocity the bigger diameter creates.
