I've noticed that quite a few of you have welded your own IC pipes from mild steel mandrel bends. My question to you is, have you experienced any rust issues? I have noticed that, when using the same material for an exhaust system, that stuff likes to rust. Have you gotten any rust inside the pipe? Have you taken precautions such as powder coating or ceramic coating the inside? Is it really as much of an issue as I am making it out to be? Thanks

the exhaust rust b/c of the heating and cooling along with the water contact. your ic pipes will see heat but not like that so you won't see rust on the pipes themselves for a while, the welds will rust once they go thur a heat cycle and are exposed to water. i would just weld them and either powerd coat or spray just so they dont look ugly.
