Hey guys, Ive searched and searched but I'm not too knowledgable w/ turbochargers for our cars. I meen, I know what turbos are rated at, the bigger ones, the better ones, but i can't read turbo maps for the life of me. I was hoping someone can help me out who's had experience with this. My setup is already listed below, and I'm planning on boosting within the next month. BUT, I want to make sure the turbo I want is the best to buy. I want to run around 10psi daily, but 20psi at the track, MAAYYBEEE ill push to 22 or 24 depending on prior results. Anyways, I plan on buying the portfueler along w/ the turbo. Currently i want to run the S-20g. But ive read the S-20GH is for morely drag racing cars, and doesnt spool til around 4500 rpms. Now my question is: Which turbo would be best with what I want? Im shooting for a FAST street car, but want to jump into low 12's at the track also. So would the 20gH hinder my speed on the roads better then the 20g because it's for drag in a straight line? Also, where are some places I can buy turbos for a good price and quality? Do I need to sepcifically buy one for our cars? Reason Im asking is because I bought a t25 BB Garrett turbo before, and then realized I had to switch the exhaust housing. Which wasnt cool because I dont want to disassemble of take apart something I know nothing (mechanical wise) about. So anyone, everyone, or someone please help me out if you can.

Personally I think a 20G is a little big for the street but it depends how the car is tuned. I don't want to wait till 4500-5K rpms for boost thats going to come so fast for only 2K rpms till you have to shift. But it would pull fucking hard for that while so it's a toss up.

Turbo compressor maps show "efficiency" at a given pressure (boost pressure atmospheric = 14.7 psi also 1 bar)

It also shows the amount of airflow at any given boost pressure.

Read this webpage and try out the program this guy made up.
