#92529, "wastegate is stuck open?"

I have a tial 38 mm wastegate and noticed that it isn't closing all the way. The wastegate is not on my car right now and I can see it open abou 3-4 mm open. Is this normal? Will vacuum push the valve close? Or is my wastegate messed up?

I wish you a smooth break-in and happy driving.

Um, no.

The TiAL comes with a metal ring that sits between the valve and the wastegate flange. You're missing it or haven't installed it.

55mm != 38mm. The 38mm has a sealing ring. The 55mm may not, i haven't seen one.

I know what the valve seat ring thingy is. And it is installed, but there i still a small gap. I'm just going to hope that vacuum will close it up.
