I just got it installed finally without any leaks. Now I have the car running but I'm not getting any fuel pressure reading on my gauge that's installed to it. I try adjusting the screw and nothing happens. What did I do wrong? I have it mounted where the wiper resovoir used to be. The inlet is on the side and the outlet to the tank is on the bottom. I have a vacuum line from the manifold tapped in, and the gauge plugged right into it. Why am I not getting pressure and how come it doesn't do anything when I adjust it? I don't want to drive it right now. I knw the car has pressure cause it's running. My vacuum is a little low, but I think I have a small leak around the tb. That shouldn't be stopping me from getting some kind of reading off the gauge.

Give me some suggestions of what it could be and what I need to check.

Are you talking about a fuel pressure gauge or Vacuum/boost gauge. A fuel pressure gauge should be tapped into the 1/8 npt fitting on the front of the regulator or to one of your supply lines. If you have the fuel gauge tapped into the vacuum line then you wont get a reading.

A vacuum gauge obviously would be installed on the vacuum line from the manifold, it wont read boost till you have positive pressure inside the manifold.

Yeah, sorry, let me clear that up, it's a fuel pressure gauge tapped into the 1/8 th fitting on the 1:1. The vacuum line is plugged into the 1:1 in the vacuum port.

Are you saying that I'm not supposed to get any readings fromt eh gauge when the car is sitting there idling? That doesn't make any sense to me. When I rev the car, the gauge doesn't move either.

I checked my vacuum line going to it and it does have vacuum. I know there's fuel cause the car is running like before (minus the little vacuum leak from the tb).

The only reading that you should get on the gauge is the static pressure.. I.E. the baseline (Probably stock) that you're pressure is.. This will NOT change at any time, weather you rev the shit out of your car or not, until you go into boost.. You won't build any or much boost without a load, so a free rev won't tell you anything.. Set your baseline and drive it, watch your A/F / EGT's and adjust your baseline to lean/richen the entire spectrum, or use your EIC or MS to tune certain spots.. Dataloggers are a really good perk, damn near a necessity on this aspect..

Since it's a 1:1, your boost index will be just that.. If baseline pressure is 50, 8psi of boost will yeild 58psi of fuel, 15psi/65psi and so on.. This will ONLY be when the boost is referenced to the FPR.. Under vacuum, it will stay at the base pressure..

ok with the gauge installed correctly you are not getting any pressure reading? not even the ~50psi static or whatever you have it set to correct? You have a bad gauge.

I have everything in correct. I'm gonna pull the gauge and inspect it and reinstall to see if it changes anything. I'm not getting any reading at idle, no static. Just a base of 0

I have the gauge in right, I just checked, and it's not the gauge. I pulled the gauge and there wasn't any fuel coming out from it. I unhooked the line from the test port on the rail and no fuel came out either. There's what looks like a valve stem in there that is stopping the fuel from going throught the return line. What the hell did I forget to do here? I just pulled the cap and installed the 4AN fitting. I obviously skipped a step or missed something. There wasn't anything about this in the write-up under the mods section.

yea that would help .lol .it really doesnt need a write up ,its pretty much common sense .btw a lot of tire pressure gauges have the remover tool screwed on the back so you might have it if you have a tire pressure gauge .

Umm, no. Any real fuel pressure regulator adjusts for vacuum, too. For example: Idle pressure will read ~40psi. Fuel pressure at 0 psig will be around 50psi. Then, slowly climb with boost. To say that it will not change at all is incorrect and if such is the case on your application, then you're probably running a junk FPR or have something connected incorrectly.

Theoretically yes. Thats why you set it with no vacuum line attached, no boost/no vac.
