Ok did some searching but most were old posts and without much details.
In an effort to reduce Under Hood temps even more Im looking at those turbo wrap kits from DEI or Thermo Tec. I know some of you have used or are using em. Lets hear some comments, thoughts and ideas if you made your own.
As of right now there is a SS shild that I have over the turbine. This alone helped a great deal.
My concerns,
Will this trap moisture? and lead to "excess" rusting? Life span of the bearings and oil?
The actual wrap...does it go birttle and break? can it be handled? I do remove my dp and turbo once in a while for various reasons, or tighten things around.
well share away.

THe Turbo wrap is known for trpping moisture and if you live in a winter region, will not last past 1 winter. A few of the ChicagoDSM guys tried this and the long term results werent good. Considering its roughly 70.00, if you do get it remove it during the winter months.

doesn't really seem worth it if you've got more winter months than summer ones lol

What if you don't drive in the winter? Does it trap/collect moisture in the air?
