Background: stock exhaust so the turbo spools pretty slow to begin with but this was noticeably slower
sometimes my BOV flutters other times it sounds just like it should
My deltagate was leaking and being poor and w/the holidays coming i have no cash so i removed it and put jb weld over the leaks, seemed fine, and put it back on, when i had first installed it i used rtv as a gasket, this time nothing.
Everything seemed the usual for about 100miles today and then all of a sudden, the turbo started spooling very slowly, were talking hitting like 3-4psi at 5k rpms, but at the same time that this happened my BOV decided it was going to sound perfect the rest of the drive home with no fluttering.
I know the first thing i should check is to see if i've got an exhaust leak between the manifold and the wastegate, but i was wondering where else i should check?
Also, does anyone had any thoughts on the fact that slow spool and perfect BOV came at the same time, can they be related?

maybe a leak in your intercooler piping, also the wg may be stuck open

I'm dealing with that right now (spools barely at all and at high RPM's)

I've noticed a big exhaust leak right before the turbo, where the manifold and turbo meet up. I just put some grease in there temporarily, but since I had to custom weld the manifold, I think the heat might have warped the flanges a little bit. (I got the car running a few weeks ago and don't daily drive it, still working out a few bugs). I'm going to take it apart, have all surfaces machined, and then make copper gaskets for all mating surfaces. The melting point of copper is 1900 and change, so I don't risk melting it at all, and it's soft enough to conform to the specific shapes of the flanges.

You might just want to check that quickly. The exhaust would much rather go out a leak then go through the turbo.

thanks guys, here's a little addition to add to my confusion
get in the car this morning after letting it warm up a bit, i get on it a little, and everything is back to normal...normal spool slight fluttering in the bov
the fluttering also confuses me b/c i know that can be compressor surge, but it doesn't do it all the time, that may jsut be a problem with my vac source for the bov though so i may change that
