I am upgrading to a new turbo soon and the turbo's I have been looking at use whats called the V-Band Clamp and adapter for the downpipe. I was wondering how exactly these work? Does your downpipe just pretty much "clamp" on to this adapter? I see alot of Supra's and big horsepower cars use these things, but dont know much about them. Anyone familiar with them and how they work?

A v-band clamp works by sandwiching the two v-band flanges together making a seal. I am running one on my turbo and it works great. best time so far 14.3 @ 101.1mph(no traction) www.cnnmotorsports.com

Is a straight t4 turbo too big for our 2.0's? I think it would be tough to hit full boost, maybe not until around 4500rpm. Whats your thoughts on that?

we have a local guy with an Integra 2.0 running a pure T04... on 14psi with some good tuning he made about 410whp and runs low 12s with absolutely no traction. Sees full boost at just over 4500rpm, so its got a serious beauty and the beast thing going on. An almost completely practical daily driver, that will rip up a quarter mile like nothing else.

Its the lag time that I am worried about though.
I may just go with the 60trim .63 a/r like i said.
