After a summer of set backs I hit 1 psi last night. The car is using

t3/t4 .57 trim turbo
5psi actuator internal gate
FMIC
2.5 inch IC pipes
walbro 255lph pump
DSM 360cc injectors/resistorpack
DSM Fuel rail
DSM FPR 1:1

Every thing is hooked up except for a DP. We lost my ECU and used an ECU off an a 99 avenger which didn't fit initially but we smoothed out a lip on the ecu and it plugged in. The car fired after jumping it due to a dead battery. We primed the turbo for about ten seconds then plugged the starter back up. We then turned the car over it took a while to start, I thought at one point I flooded the engine. Then a puff of smoke and the car turned on puttering. The spooling noise was amazing. I was surprized i could hear it over the exhaust. It did sound like it might* have been missing but definately running rich. So I am wiring the SAFC today and it will have a DP tomorow. Wish me luck.

No typo. I have no downpipe and the car was in neutral, so Im not going to rev it until it hits like 5psi. So i just wanted to see boost.

in case you didn't believe him.

57 trim though? haha its an even bigger turbo then mine, I have the 50 trim T3/T4.. it spools super-loud, I am running open downpipe with a stuck open wastegate so it only boosts to 1psi and I have had people tell me it is about as loud as the turbos on big semi trucks.

Ok so I actually got a 3'' DP made and no cat.

Bad news and I will ask for help now.

First I am using bigger injectors and a walbro 255lph pump. The car has not been tuned yet and when i turned it on at the exhaust shop the car couldn't stay on. The battery for some reason must have died for sitting for 3 months. On top of that even with a jump the I have to keep the accelerator down to keep the car on. The turbo is crap and burning oil because the seals can't hold it. So i need to get an oil restrictor. The car bairly runs aswell unfortunately I think it is just because it needs tuned. Like when i was driving it for that short time it wouldn't go anywhere and it just sucked. The car didn't sound like it was firing right either. I saw some smoke come out of the exhaust but that was probably because of the turbo.

Any advise?

Is the turbo used? If so the seals may be going. Just make sure your running a big oil drain line back to the pan so nothing is getting backed up. How is the rest of the motor? Did you do a compression test before installing everything? Did it run fine then??

I'd get some new plugs most def. NGK BKR7E. they should already be gapped at .028 so those will help. Whats running your fuel? SFMU? Cartech?

Let me keep thinking

EDIT: Okay, so you have 360 cc injectors that arn't really being controlled by anything......I Think thats your problem.

I would just be running an SFMU instead of the 1:1 and man your car would be running fine. And I don't think you should even bother with the SAFC. More of a burden imo.

Car ran fine before being boosted.

Turbo is new. No compression tests but the car felt ok.

I want to see how much we can lean it out before I go buying any parts.

Hey got everything but my ECU does not work. We lost my ECU and tried using a 1999 avenger ECU. It only fires on two cylinders. Will a 1998 mtx ECU work on a 1997 gs?
