probably a stupid question but how do you adjust it . from the link i have it says to turn the key to on with the car off . then it says to use a air source to build up boost pressure ? my question is how ? also how do you determine what voltage you get fuel cuts at ? i built the clamp already im just lost on the tuning part . iv search and cant find the answers . can anyone help my stupid ass out in detail .

Take your MAP sensor off the intake manifold and blow into it to build pressure. To adjust it, you gotta keep it under 4.7v. Just measure your voltage w/ a voltmeter while blowing into the MAP to make sure your under 4.7v while under load. A buddy might be handy too for this!

HEH

I say take the MAP off your mani, rig a hose up or something so you can connect it to a air compressor with pressure regulator. Set the regulator to your max psi you are going to run in your car and test and adjust from there.

edit...if you don't know already your MAP as a nice "nipple" on it that will fit nicely into a 1/2" I.D. hose, clamp and rig up a fitting to work with your compressors quick connect on the other end.

Blowing in it your self is ridiculous....you'll never blow hard enough to amount to anything significant.

i dont think it would be too hard to blow five psi into it . how do i hook a quick connect up to it .

Your mouth is only capable of maybe 3psi, maybe get your girlfriend to help u with that too since shes so good. Lol. Once it's clamped to not see boost (4.7v), it doesnt matter if it seems 1psi or 100psi it is not going to go past 4.7v. This is how I see it at least, I've never actually done it, my car is a 95 and I use ML just in case.

okay tried it today . you were right you cant blow 5 psi lol. i hooked up a checkvalve with barb up to my paint gun regulater and put it on the quickconnect . i ran a hose from the map to the barb on the cv. i set at 4.5 volts with no air going to it .then i set the regulater to 5 psi . pressurized it but the voltage stayed at 4.five volts . it didnt change at all ,. is this supposed to happen .i would think the map should at least fluctuate a little. i test the car anyway and no fuel cuts at all .yay. but i just wanted to know if i did it right or i just got lucky ? also my a/f ratio is still going from like 14.6 to 10.0 to 19.4 back to 14.6 . any ideas of why it keeps doing that ?

You don't have to do a boost leak test to set it. All you need to do is turn the key to ON and watch the voltage on the MAP sensor. It should be around 4.6 volts. Turn the knob on the variable resistor until it goes down by about 0.05 volts, you're done! If you still get a little bit of fuel cut turn it down by another 0.05 volts or so.
