I have a rattle that appears to be comming from inside the turbo. It does it a little at idle, but its louder when i let off the throttle. It's not really that old, but it does have some shaft play. It doesn't appear to be burning oil, but there is alot of oil in my IC pipes. I believe that was comming from the breather port on the valve cover. I had a hose ran to the intake pipe on the compressor. Anyhow, I looked at the compressor housing where the wheel is and it doesn't APEAR to be hitting the walls but it does look cleaner where the wheel spins. It apears to spin freely. I am fairly certain the turbo is shot, and I need to start looking for a new one. It's been like this for awhile now. But any info would be appreciated.

Could it be the wastegate chattering? Its an internally wastegated turbo.
