The big difference between the two is the quality of idle. The 1st version, or ML003B, simply had a pin-sized hole to bypass air and equalize to atmospheric pressure at boost. The problem is that it injected a slight amount of vacuum leak. The ECU actually saw this, but it isn’t a big deal. The newer version lowers the amount of this vacuum leak, but does not eliminate it altogether. Also, with the ML003B design, after a while, performance would degrade because the bypass orifice, would fill up with carbon, the filter allows you to change this out periodically without having to clean the ML003C.
If you already have an ML003B, just wait a little bit. We’re developing a new version which we are patenting that eliminates the vacuum leak altogether. I see this as the final evolution of the Missing Link.

im confused! the sight shows the B as the one with the filter which is not a new design as i have had it for almost 2 years. the 1st post says the B is the one with the small hole only and the C will be the one with the filter?????? and, with the B/C(???) i dont have any idle issue that i know of...care to enlighten please?
USED TO HAVE...Everything you wish you had, and then some...
You are somebody special Tim, you matter! - from the admins (but nobody likes you, because your username is just like that other guy's, and you whine a lot)

The way I understood it was the "C" will be different then the "B" (the one with the filter, a.k.a. the current design) They are probably not "advertising" the "C" yet.
I have the "A" and if I feel things getting funky I pull the damn thing off and clean it...2 minute job...not an issue really. For me anyway

Mine has never really worked since the start ( I have the B model ). Whenever I am just crusing and slowing go from vac to boost it bucks a little bit and then its fine the rest of the time I am in boost. Only in the initial entry from vac to boost and only when it slowly goes into boost from vac. If I stomp on it, it will not do the slight bucking.
I even cleaned it thouroghly. So I have no idea why my ML is not working properly. Thinking about just doing that voltage clamp.
