stock injectors. I have the largest disk installed with the dark spring.

I've read just about every post on tuning for stock injectors and the most informative post concluded he had 55-60 idle psi of FP and 110-120 at 8 psi. He ran the largest disc and hard spring and it worked great apparently.

I have 55 psi at idle right now with the static nut backed out 95% of the way i'd say. The vacume/boost/and bleed ports are all closed.

It's only raising FP up to 65ish right now? I don't know why. No kinks in line or anything,Diaphram is brand new. Everything is installed correctly.

I was messing around last night with the silver spring and the 2.72 disc/ring and I had it at 40psi @ idle and when I went for a rip i built 5psi up and it raised up to 60psi! And it felt like it pulled pretty good actually.

I am looking for 40psi at idle and upwards to 90psi at 7 psi. What the hell am i doing wrong?

EDIT: Keep in mind I haven't used more than 20% throttle this whole time. Truthfully, I'm scared to floor it and blow something up. I've had 7psi built when i was first testing it out and I don't even have to step on the pedal really. Should I bee STEPPING on it once the boost start to come on to really see the FP raise or is it really quick?

Blow schmlow!

First time I brought out my fresh rebuild, i threw 10psi at it.

Anyway, I thought with stock injectors you used the silver longer spring?

I think most are using the darker spring. I have mine set up the same way as he does and i had the same problem but mine turned out to be the fuel pump (had a gsx pump) You said you have the screw on top backed most of the way out though? I think that sounds strange mines almost all the way in....... but what do i know

ya screwing it down in makes the pressure higher and putting it up higher make the pressure lower.

where do you have the signal line for the sfmu connected to?

i used the dark spring and large disk back in the day, and it worked fine. something isnt right about the way you set it up though it sounds like.

alright just remembered the easiest way to test if it will raise fp without boosting...take a little air compressor you would use to fill your tires and blow air into the signal line for the sfmu while the car is running and watching the gauge this should be good for at least 5 psi so you'll def notice the increase in fp)

If that doesn't make your gauge shoot up then either there is a leak, your diaphram is messed up (obviously isn't if its new), you have the fuel lines hooked up backwards (correct: rail to side port, bottom port to tank), or its your pump, i can't think of anything else it would be. which side of the sfmu is your fp gauge on can also make the difference

Also why are you looking for 40psi idle fp?
i would shoot for higher, HRC recommends in their instructions 47-55psi and i'd say their pretty reliable

i GOT It.

The stupid springs kept slipping on the ceter when I installed the spring and retainers.

I took it out, unscrewed the static screw and it was really easy to get it right then.

Right now I'm at 47psi idle Fp and up to 90 psi at 7psi of boost.

It feels wonderful. emoji
