im tired of gettin smoked by every thing. i need nitrous bad. i dont wanna spend the money for a turbo kit cause its pretty much gonna be a show car but i go out every weekend and mess around and i just need something. what do u guys think just throw some nitrous on it or what? what can i find a used kit for?

no you cannot just throw nitrous in
you might as well put a stick of dynamite inside your engine bay and light the fuse
wrong jet size to big of pill (if you would have searched you would know what a pill is) spray too early there is a lot of things that can go wrong
there are a lot of kits out there zex NX of course NOS and there are quite a few people using them successfully but they searched all over the place for info
quite simply do you want a wet kit a dry kit push button throtte position sensor button on the pedal or the throttle body window switch and i am sure that there a some other things i have forgotten about or left out
nitrous is a great way to make horsepower even better way to blow your shit up
please type in nitrous into the search engine and read until your eyes bleed if you are serious then dont just stop at this site go to other eclipse sites and see what people are doing with theirs first

I think all the F&F quotes are used up, but...if your serious, pm me and I'll give you a few options you might not of found in searching, (I might have a few different post with some helpful knowledge in them via searching). I've had a few different set-ups and could give you the pros and cons of a few different routes you can take and what might be the more ideal setup for you.

1. Find a friend who has set up a wet nitrous system on a small 4 cylinder before (a Neon is perfect, a Prelude, an Integra, or some other similar displacement engine) 2. Buy a wet kit. A single nozzle in the intake pipe close to the throttle body will work just fine, you probably won't be needing a more complex multi-port setup 3. Install it with your friend 4. Don't go much above 50-ish HP 5. Monitor the health of your system... An EGT gauge is a must. A wideband is nice, but when you spray it will throw off the reading.

I had your basic NA bolt ons an ran a ZEX wet 75shot for several months. Granted I worked my way to the 75shot gradually, it was a nice kick in the pants.
My best 1/8 time was a 9.72 @ 87 or 88mph. I forget. I posted the slip one day. I pulled a 2.2 60ft with 225 series tires on the stock GS rims.
At the time I had: greddy header/dp greddy catback mp 60mm tb ported/polished intake manifold af/x udp zex wet kit screamin demon coil crane 8.5mm firewire plug wires and a range colder plugs
*Note: with a testpipe I would trap at a higher MPH, but my time was about .2 slower. So I stayed with the stock cat. I also sprayed from the line.

Hey man don't take it personal everyone was just trying to have a little fun with you. But seriously if you wanna start winning some races I think you should listen to what other people told you and get a turbo kit instead. Even though nitrous is cheaper up front, the cost of having to fill up your nitrous bottle will add up after a while, and I heard nitrous wastes really fast. If your still convinced that you wanna go with nitrous spend a little more money and get a computer controlled kit. The computer controlled kits monitor your air and fuel and send a signal that shuts the nitrous injection off if your engine becomes too lean. Stay away from the cheap $200 dollar kits that only give you a nitrous bottle, lines, and a regular toggle switch. Basically these cheap kits inject nitrous non-stop once you flip the switch on and have no way of monitoring your engine.

yeah, i dunno why they all jumped on you, but i know NX makes kit for our cars, and if you are a 96+ you need to use a wet kit as they went to a returnless system.

Post has been moderated and locked. Quit being assholes. The question wasn't that far out there. Guys obviously a little upset that his NT isn't doing very well in races (how'd you all feel when you realized your NT isn't very good at the races?). I don't need to go back and look up all of your first few posts, do I? We were all less knowledgeable at some point. Don't act like you were born with infinite knowledge of cars.
