I can not get my car to boost above 1.6 bar w/ the avc-r even though I have my boost set to like 2.25 bar w/ the duty set at 90%, but when i go to low boost..i set it at 1 bar..and it hits 1 bar very accurately..what gives?

Probably cause the stock intake manifold, throttle body, head, etc can flow just so much air.. I have the same prob, I have never hit 30 psi even though I should be able to... I am not too worried though cause if you start fuggin' with the intake and tb and stuff, then you loose reliability and deffinately idle...

The AVC-R sucks at high boost levels. Ask anyone who has owned one trying to boost high levels. And yes I do own one. They are just not reliable at high PSI levels. They will work to an extent but not very well. Great for 20 or below.

Only advice I know is do what everyone else does when they want to run real high pressure...get a manual. There might be a way but everyone I have talked to has no luck. Let us know if you figure anything out.

Are you Star or HRC? If your Star how did you hook up the wastegate to the AVC-R? do you use both ports on the wastegate?? If so that's the problem.

yea I do have both ports on the wastegate hooked up..how would I run it without both hooked up? and why would that cause me to hit 1 bar like the avc-r says, but not be able to boost past 1.6?

Hook it up like this: Run a vacuum line from the Compressor Houseing on the turbo to the "NO" port on the AVC-R boost controller unit. Then Run another vacuum line from the "COM" port on the AVC-R to the "boost" port on the Wastegate (it's the side port on the wastegate). The "NC" port should be vented to open air on the AVC-R boost controller unit, and the "Vacuum" port on the wastegate should be vented to the open air also. I think this is your problem. re-do your vacuum lines like this and let me know if it works emoji
