Hey guys I need some help with fuel. My motor is being rebuilt with forged internals since I blew a head gasket on it a while back. Now I want to run 15lbs of boost, maybe up to 16 or even 17. Here is a list of what I have.

255lph Wahlbro FP
Holley 12:1 fmu
450cc injectors (not currently installed)
Super 16G from Hahn
Hahn manifold
Block bored .02 over with 8.1:1 pistons
Eagle rods.

What more (mainly fuel items) do I need to safely run up to 17lbs for a daily driver?

Also, I was using an SAFC II before. I still have it actually. We were testing it out when the head gasket blew. So right now the SAFC is not on the car because I was afraid it would cause problems again. Is the SAFC II really safe to use with this car? Do I need to get e-manage instead or just break down and try to save up for portfueler instead?

Fuel gauge will help with monitoring your fuel pressures. I am not sure if you have one already so just a suggestion.

So the SAFC II is safe to use with this car up to 17lbs? I'm really skeptical with it because as soon as it was installed it blew the head gasket. Anyone near southern ky who knows how to properly install these?

you're problem was most likely from the tuning and not the installation. Be forewarned though that the SAFC is fooling your map sensor to compensate for the air. It's only fooling your map so that it tricks the ecu to add fuel. That's why most of us don't use the SAFC, though some of the guys here have. There's nothing wrong with it at all, but just a matter of preferance. My guess is someone didn't know how to tune your safc and either made it too lean or way too rich under boost, which is why your hg went.

I would try MS, but the problem is I've read that it's very difficult to assemble, install, tune, etc etc. So I guess for now I'll settle for the SAFC, just dont wanna screw anything else up. Does anyone know of someone around southern Ky (i.e. Nashville, Louisville) who can safely install and tune the safc for a 2gnt?

use it, just make sure to keep an eye out on the timing when tuning. as long as your timing is ok you will be fine.

Obviously the MS is better, but an S-AFC will work too. Its all in preference.

If you don't know how to safely install and tune the safc, you might as well buy MS pre-assembled so all you do is hook up some wires, and learn that one instead.

Ok I've been looking around for the MS system preassembled. Not really having any luck but I dont mind to keep looking. But before I spend more time doing it can someone tell me how much a preassembled kit costs so that I know it's even worth my time to look. Currently I have an SAFC, but if the MS system is more reliable and easier to use and still cost effective at the same time that's what I want to go with. So does anyone know how much it costs preassembled?

Wow, you’re the first 2GNT member from AK that I’ve heard of. I was there about a year ago on vacation with some relatives that live in Eagle River, it was pretty crazy how the sun set around 11 PM and rises around 1 AM. Where abouts in AK are you from?

Well, i'm actually in the Air Force stationed up here at Eielson AFB near Fairbanks. You would be surprised how many 4g's there are all over the state, it's crazy. It's all good though, cause I'm almost positive there's only one 420a turbo in the works emoji

Anyhow, is Terry still building MS and selling, or was it a limited time offer lol. If so, what all is included as compared to like ordering from the rs-autosport website?

I have NO experience with any electrical parts or the tuning and I am running this and it runs great. Terry (starturbotalon) built my unit and has helped me thru the process of tuning. With his basemaps it started on the first crank.
