Anyone using this......looking at the instal book it appears the parking brake sensing wire reqs a 12v + to alert the TT that the parking brake is set. Which if thats correct reqs a relay since our parking brake is a negative trigger.
Please tell me i am reading this wrong..... that idea is gay.

that wouldnt make sense to me. Seeing as how if true then the brake wire would have to be +12V engergized all the time the car is parked. If worn through or cut or frayed then it could pose a shorting problem... I've never seen switches like that that use a +12V reference. our clutch switch, door ajar switch, seatbelt switch, etc- any reference switch has always been ground.

Yeah exactly. well i went out to the garage and got everything connected up. it does react to a ground parking brake. no idea why the manual states to connect the wire to a 12v wire when the parkign brake is engaged.
perhaps a typo, maybe chiltons is making the manual for greddy...lol
