where have you guys with this profec b boost controller put the motor for it?? I am having a hard time finding enough room for the motor to fit. I have a 98 GS but with all the extra turbo and intercooler piping there is hardly any room in my engine bay

Speaking of horns, does anyone know where I can get a stock horn for our cars? Mine was removed when the IC went in, but never went back in and got lost somewhere along the way...

BTW, I have my Profec-B box mounted under the air filter. Its screwed into the sheet metal under the ecu/fuse assembly... If this is foggy, I'll try and get some pics if I can find a WinXP driver for my card reader.

Any good online salvage yards people suggest? I dont feel like driving an hr away to find a horn, might as well get it online, eliminate the hastle, an spend the same on shipping as i would driving there...

LAST EDITED ON 06-Nov-01 AT 06:16 AM (PST)

For the HRC setup, there is plenty of room where the stock intake use to be. I used the factory bolt holes to mount it. Fits perfect.

All I know is that it needs to be kept as cool as possible and the turbo get pretty damn HOT!! Also...in the instructions it says to mount a certain way. With the vaccumm lines upward. Does it have to be like that??

I have heard of a few people say theirs was shot and you cant get a replacement, you have to get a whole new profec b. But I think those probs were caused by dropping it or cracking the casing somehow... I dunno, but if its new and you have it installed correctly and it doesnt work, just uninstall it and have the place you got it from swap em for you.

the thing is brand new and I installed it myself. Its 2 days old. It worked the day I put it in but today it stopped working. I didnt even move the thing. I ended up putting mine just below where yours is...drilled a hole and used a factory one to the chassis.
