#8766, "Check engine light"

Ok, here's a little backround on my car.

Stage I HRC turbo installed for about 750 miles or so. Runs fine. EGT, A/F, Temp.. everything is good. Having said that here's my problem:

I changed my plugs on Saturday to a smaller gap that HRC recommended. Car ran fine after I did that. I went out Saturday night with 2 buddies and was boosting fine with no problem.

I get in the car yesterday to go out to dinner and the check engine light is on. Keep in mind I cant do the key dance because I have a 98 Avenger. I checked all the plug wires to make sure there's a good connection and everything seemed fine. It boosts fine and seems to be getting enough fuel when it starts up. The pressure did drop to 37psi as opposed to 48 at idle when the problem started. I adjusted that and it's steady at 48psi where it's supposed to be.

I'm going to try to find a place that I can check my codes tonight but I'd like a few opinions if anyone has any. Thanks!

Betcha money it's that EVAP crap.. 98's seem to get it the worst. If it is, don't worry about it.

Search for "EVAP" .. more there than you'll ever want to know.

Venge, are you in Socal? You can use my datalogger to check your code if you are. That goes for the rest of you too, if you want to play with one.
