I have some ideas, I would run a similar setup to what I had. Theres alot of metal to grap for the mounting straps even with a stock trunk/floor cover. And in all reality, you will only need to access the spare if you get a flat.Unless you do a similar setup like mine and change the spare access, and you don't have to make it out of metal. I never looked for one for 5lb bottles, but they also make a billet dual bottle holder that would look pretty nice right in the center of your hatch but you will need something with a little more meat than the sock spare cover. And Also I'm not sure on if you let people in the back seat but I know theres a couple (dual) back seat bottle mounts floating around also, and would be easy access to the valves if you didn't decide to get remote openers.

if your gonna put it in the trunk...id think that the way madhatter had it set up would be the best. if you wanna use you stock spare tire cover...just use backing plates and you should have no problems at all. iv never seen dual holders for 5 lb'ers. i guess you COULD think about selling both bottles on ebay and just getitng a single 10 lb?

or you could do it spilner style with it in the back seats...i dunno emoji

I'll try to find some more pics later, but it gives you the idea. Put the brakets on and tuck them into each corner.

so it looks like it is split so you still have access to your spare tire correct? Also did you just drill right through the spare tire hole for the blow down tube

yea my center piece still allows access to the spare, and yes kind of put the blowdown tube on the bottle and get your top hole marked and cut, then lower it down through. I used my girls lipstick on the end of the blowdown tube to mark the general exit location in the well, then just cut out the hole. Though I had to unhook the tube on the right to lift the hatch for spare access (no biggie though).
