it came out of a saab 900, late 80s maybe??? or early 90s, anyway its a garret cause it says real big garret on it, the a/r is .49 hot side, .48 coldside, the exauhst flang isnt the same size as the t3/t4 its a little smaller maybe a half inch from bolt to bolt, anyone have a clue??? i was thinking maybe a t3 but the older gm ones that were smaller....

You may have lucked out.
Usually, though, a turbo that should have shaft play that doesn't is probably packed with coked oil, at least packed enough to feel tight still. There really is no good way to measure this, though.

welp i know its not a t3 now, my buddy has some spare t3 flanges for both the early crysler t3 and the standard t3, and it dont fit, and on the turbocity site it says all of them are t3, EXCEPT one, says MIT TE05, welp ther it is, its a teo5 how much you think i could sell it for, i ran oil through it with my car, hooked it up, unplugged the coil, and cranked the engine and spun the turbo at the same time, she still has 0 shaft play and spins freely,
