So today I decided to do the turbo timer/ stock alarm mod and it doesnt work. This is the instructions I used http://ca.dsm.org/FAQ/2gtt-faq.html. Can some body look at this and see if there is something missing? I followed this to a "T" and when I go to test it, everything works like I did nothing to it. The turbo timer counts down normal and the alarm wont arm till the TT counts out.
I double and tripple checked all my connections. Checked everything with a volt meter.
‹totaleklipse97› so what benefits do i get from being ur e-boyfriend ‹Jen› uh... the honor? ‹totaleklipse97› somehow i guess i got that title now ‹Jen› somehow.....

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that IS the way it's supposed to work. The problem with the factory alarm is that when you put in a turbo timer it doesn't arm itself at all. If the car is arming itself after the turbo timer counts down then to me that would be correct. Now, I could be totally wrong, and I'd be very interested in the answer to this question as well. But, I have the Greddy TT and since I installed it I've never been able to get my factory alarm to kick on after the count down is complete. Of course I lock my doors, but I'd sleep better knowing my alarm was on too ...

Well after my TT install my alarm still worked. As far as I understand this is supposed to make to where you can arm/lock the car while the TT is counting down.
Guess what? I found that link using the ssseeeaaaaarrrccchhhh

Amazing what the search button can do before posting ....
Maybe the HKS is different then, but with the Greddy TT my alarm is completely out of the picture unless I actually wait for the car to complete it's countdown and then lock up. I highly doubt it's a difference between turbo/non-turbo cars, the ignition sys. is the same.
