>OIL FILTER? I use the Purolater PureOne Oil filter with Mobil 1 Synthetic.
>FUEL FILTER? I just bought a NAPA gold filter. I'm sure there are better high flow ones out there.

I didn't replace mine, but was sure to use some silicone sealant as per the instructions.

I just in fact replaced my stocker. The stocker was a multilayer steel gasket. It looked great when I installed it, but you should see it now after it's been replaced. (OMG) It looks like some of the rubble that came out of the WTC attack. I'll post a picture later.
Now, per the posting from the dude under the "dealers" section here, I bought a copper exhaust manifold gasket. Already, I can tell I spool noticeably quicker and have no leaks at the head joint. The installer (I didn't feel like doing it) was impressed with the product.

Take what of it you will....(but it sure looks damn nasty to me...)
(I think the last picture really tells the tale. When I first removed this gasket after 23k miles of N/A conditions, it was still shiney and straight. This is what's happened to it after almost 16k miles turbo'ed)
Boost, and its accompanying heat, is a whole new ballgame as compared to being naturally aspirated...thats for sure!

GAWD your gasket if FUCKED. Mine looked nothing like that. Hell mine was still shinny silver color and looked like it would seal. I wouldn't put that back in either!

I have been doing gaskets for YEARS (More then some of you are old ), and I have found that FELPRO is the best. I have done 50 or more headgasket jobs and NEVER have had a comeback because of a bad/malfunctioning gasket. FELPRO is the best in ALL gaskets.

yeah, thats what the napa gaskets i got were. Felpro, a lot cheaper than copper gaskets, and they hold up for stage V's, as long as you have a straight manifold, hehe. Just double them up if you want, I do and I have a real tight seal, -- Brad Rickard 98 GS HRC Stage V (nuff said)
