My car died on me yesterday while cruising. A few month ago when I added the Tach Adapter it started shutting off while cruising but it turned back on minutes later. Well, yesterday it shut off and never started back on. It cranks, have spark, timing is OK but is so flooded with fuel like the injectors are open all the time. I check the compression with engine cold and got 170 all across. Have DIS2, MSD coil pack, msd cables. Switch the map sensor from my sons eclipse and still the same. Can the ECU just gave on me?

Thanks

PM Tim97rs, I think he had some sort of problem with the tach adapter but had NO spark.

unhook your MSD DIS 2 from your stock igntion harness, DONT JUST USE THE JUMPER, remove the whole MSD harness from the factory wiring, then try starting it.

if it starts without ANY MSD stuff hooked up, then you know where to look.

you should be able to run the MSD without the tach adapter, so next try hooking back up the MSD WITHOUT the tach adapter plugged into the MSD harness and see what tha gets ya...

I sent mine in to MSD and my tach adapter was good, so it was my DIS-2 that was the issue... still waiting on it.

USED TO HAVE...Everything you wish you had, and then some...

You are somebody special Tim, you matter! - from the admins (but nobody likes you, because your username is just like that other guy's, and you whine a lot)

Thanks guys!
MSD DIS-2 took a crap on me. I crank it with the whole thing disconnected and guest what, it start it right then. After having the DIS-2 for more than a year, I added the tach adapter and in 3 month the DIS-2 went bad. My RPM now reach 7,200 rpm, YES!
Also fininshed and tunning my sc-61 turbo, now my clutch needs to be replace. Will post some pictures later.
Thank you!
