hey guys. i have a quick question about my external gate setup. i have a tial 35mm gate. my problem is when i first turbo'ed the car, it was hitting 7psi. since then i put a fmic and have been boosting at 6psi .lost some pressure due to the piping. but now, after 2 days with an fmic, i only see 3psi.. ive checked all the piping and replaced all the couplings. everything is absolutely tight. ive also checked all my vac lines to see if there was any tears, everything looks good. my question is this, how can i check to see if the wastegate is still good and if i were to add boost with a boost controller, would that make a difference? im just starting to get frustrated with seeing low boost and have checked everything too many times. any suggesttions?

I made 2 PVC end caps and tapped a shrader valve in each. Attach the caps with your rubber coupler to each end of your complete intake system.(isolate all the IC piping including the IC) Put air pressure to one side of the system with an air compressor. Look at your air compressor gauge and wait a few minutes after you stop adding air. Check the to see how much pressure is in there with a very reliable tire gauge or a vac gauge that has both a shrader to fitting and reads positive pressure. That will rule out your possible intake leak. I would also check the diaphram in your BOV. I had a nice cut in my HKS BOV and I had shit vacuum, almost no boost, and the great fluttering sound.
