what does the 3000GT BOV in the hahn kit sound like? (pitch and volume)? is it even really audible (compared to other aftermarket BOV's what does it sound like) ideallyit would sound like a slightly less loud HKS SS. but i am just wondering if i should go ahead and buy my blitz before my install. anyone got a WAV file of it? oh yeah, stan you get your RFL BOV yet? http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt --------------------------------------------------------------- VANILLA RICE

It just sounds like a loud burst of air. No whistle, no chirp, just air...like someone letting air out of a tire basically. My 4G63 friends say it sounds like my car is sighing.

No. They sold the last one before I got there (MachV was the only booth selling TurboXS that I saw. $169 even no tax or shipping, great). I ended up getting the Type H. Put it on yesterday. It sounds like a shotgun but not loud enough for my taste. I got a chance to hear the Greddy too. It wasn't that loud to me either. Matter of fact my standards must be to high cause I heard a bunch of BOVs over the weekend and NONE were loud enough! I may sell the the Type H and get the RFL since my pipe is already flanged for it now. Oh yeah HKS standard for sale hehe (laugh but its nearly as loud as anything I heard this weekend). On a side note the type H closes much quicker. Stops air escape dead in its tracks when you get back on the throttle.

Well jackstands are designed to be used like that, so I would suggest using those. I had all 4 wheels off the ground while installing my new exhaust last weekend. I would be afraid the car might fall on cinder blocks.

I had my car up on ramps during my install. Very safe. You can buy those yellow ramps and then buy the plastic extensions as well for being lowered. That probably still will be too much of an incline, so you can use some towels or something to help protect your bumper during the drive up the ramps.
I would rather be safe than sorry.
