well ive decided to get the rebuild kit the Full kit with JE pistons/eagle rods etc..., from Howell Automotive, but i was wondering about the Top End kit "16 Eaton PT Cruiser Lash Adjusters (Lifters) 16 PT Cruiser Cam Followers (Rockers)" whats the advantage of going with those, or if stock isnt brocken why would i want to have those instead of my factory stuff, same thing with "Crane Valve Springs and Retainers"why would the crane be better than my stock valve springs and retainers im not redlining anyhigher, and whats the real diffrence between the crower and Eagle Rods (what justifies there higher price? -crower-) im also getting the 2mm Oversized stainless steel Swirl valves, and Doing some porting while its out and possibly and Extrude/hone here and there.. For the valve train, you've got it: allows a higher redline. if you don't need it, you don't need it.
My opinion on the eagle rods: cnnpracing.com sells the exact same rods, and lists them as rated at 400HP. Now, i can't vouch for the accuracy of that figure, but crower rods are rated extremely high (like 1000+HP, depending). Which makes you feel more secure?
