ok .. this is my first time installing the kit. now i dont think my kit came with the test port fitting so i have to tap into the fuel line. where is the fuel line???? there are so many black lines in the back of the manifold.

another thing is how do i get the wires from the engine bay into the cabin. where is the hole for that in the firewall (specific please if you can)

where did you guys hook up the 12v to???

thanks guys but please try to be specific cause this is my first time and im doing this all alone.

well to start get the fitting for the test port. Its a -4AN it makes for a much cleaner/faster install. On the passenger side almost behind the glovebox there is a plug you can use to go through the firewall(easy way is to use a coathanger to push through with your wires taped to the end), you might have to move the carpet a tad but its right there you won't be able to miss it.Also you can use the steering boot on the drivers side if you need to (tons of room if needed)Just make a small slice for your wires or just use the coat hanger deal again( it makes it easier to find them once there on the other side and pull them up). And as for 12 volt you can really use any fused supply or tap into the fuse box under the dash via acc block. Depending where your switches are going to be located you can also use the ciggie lighter. I can get you some pics tomorrow if you need, but once you get going and have read the install instructions a couple times before you start, you will find it is pretty easy just plan to take your time.

the fuel line is located on the right side of the engine if you are looking at it
the test port is just a 4an fitting so you could got to summitracing and get a fitting that would work
as a matter of fact
i have a 3 ft braided 4an hose with female 4an fittings on both sides that should would work perfectly
if you want it pm me and just pay shipping and its yours
i dont need it

as far as getting through the firewall,
i have pushed a lot of wires through the boot in the steering column under the dash

no problems so far

if the kit requires a switched 12v that is only on when the key is on
i like to splice into the hot wire of the cig lighter
it is easy to get to and has 12v when you turn the key to the on position

hey thanks guys, im planning on doing the install tomorrow and hoping to finish it too so i can try it out before it rains sunday.

how come the test port fitting isnt included in the kit? or did i just get ripped off. ok so the fitting is -4AN, im going to try to see if a shop has it. but i went to autozone today and asked for a tool to take off the schrader valve and they looked at me if im stupid. is there a name for that tool??

ok im playing with the fittings right now for the solenoids. how come it doesnt seem to go all the way in?

oh yeah pictures would be great. lol. not sure where to put that blue jet thing at in the intake .. theres hardly any room under our hood.

and lastly, the steering column, do i need to go under the car or can i stick the wires from the top. and are there stock wires going throught there already? and also do i need to take off the dash or anything like that or it just goes by the pedals.

wait .... the cig lighter, i just splice the red wire and connect it to the switch right?

oh wait.... i also bought the msd digital rpm controller, do any of you guys have that?

imo because of the many ways and locations one might want to tap into the fuel system. I bought all my kits used and they all came with it, so not 100% but it makes alot of sense

That is the name, they are stupid! make sure you ask for it with confidence or they will act like you are dumb and don't know what your talking about.

I would leave them alone till your ready to install them, and use a fuel rated teflon tape or paste when you put them on and tighten them stll snug and on average give then a half turn past that(you don't want them to leak but that is going to be a step you take at the end of the install to check for(leaks) ).

no more then 6 " from the throttle body(tb) for best performance, the bend in the elbow is a great place pointed at the TB. Theres enough room for it. or on the front side before the bend.All suggested locations will be in the directions.

The only thing that goes through the steering boot is the steering colum, there is room there and you don't need to go under the car just look above your pedals. You will need to go from the inside but use a coat hanger (stiff wire) to feed them up from from the opening, theres not any room to just grab them when they come through. And remember the passenger side has a very nice place to run them also and outta the way from pedals and what not, lol but then again passengers who like to get there feet all under the dash might kick the hell outta of them (been there once)

Yes what ranges (pills) did it come with/did you get for it? That is going to determine nos on and off. It would be good to know when your a/f ratio is right and what rpm range. A safe place to start is 5700 start 7000 off

Hey and looking at the kit you have a wot switch so you really need to only control the off with the msd

it came with the 35,50,75 i suppose. the bag has 6 pills.

so its not safe to spray starting at 3000?

oh and i forgot to ask what did you use to make the hole on the intake pipe for that blue thing.

I meant the (rpm) pills for the msd rpm controller it will come with different rpm ratings, one for system "on" and one for "off"

And if you value your motor don't spray at 3000 if your stock, not good pratice if your modded either. If your testing this on the track start out spraying at 6000 to get the feel of it , you can drop down very gradually from there 5500 stock is about all I would consider.

Just a drill bit I forget the size off hand but the nozzle should have a backing nut rubber washer also, if not make sure you drill it so the nozzle can thread into the cai and use a thread locker on it.

the msd thing is digital so i wont need any pills. i just program it on the screen of the box. i chose this one cause its easier to play around with and i wont have to buy new pills all the time when i want to change the rpm dramaticaly.

the msd part number is 8965. i bought it for $100 but i have checked online yet to see if it will work with my setup. the guy who sold it to me said this is better than the pill ones and it will work for our cars.

Wow that is pretty cool, way better imo. You should call msd though to see if it calls for a "tach adapter" for it. also check your signal wire to see if your going to put out the 5 volts it needs.

yeah i was thinking of calling them.

the guy at the shop said that i dont need any tach for it to work and he claims he installed it in many cars already and drew me a diagram on how to hook it up.

oh my mistake, i didnt realize you could call SS braided line "wire" emoji

16' should be plenty, mine was only 15' and i got it all the way to the front of the battery.

yeah .. forgot to use hose instead of wires, my bad. well i bought an extra 3 feet and it worked just fine from the trunk to the front.

well i still havent tested out the nitrous yet cause i keep breaking stuff. i tighted the pressure guage to the bottle nipple to much and they both broke.

I have another question:
the arming switch, i connected to the cigerette lighter and now when i flick the switch on the light turns off from the switch and when its off the light is on?? any thoughts on that.

wired it backwards, just switch + - to the other posts. light should be on when armed

yeah .... one for ground, one for 12v switch, and one for acc.

i connected the ground one for the black wire from the lighter.
the 12v switch to the blue wire from the lighter.
the acc to the WOT switch i believe, dont really remember
or its connected the relay

I think I see the problem, switch the acc and hot. an easy way to check is wit ha volt meter on the output wire

i found out whats wrong. there was nothing wrong just that they put the sticker that says VCC, GND, and ACC on the wrong side of the switch. Well everything seemed to have worked fine until the WOT switch fell off b/c i forgot to tighten it. This is going to be a never ending process.

But i would like to thank everyone for your help.
