#83262, "star turbo fuel system?"

I looked up on previos threads and found out that my 96 rs has the later fuel system with the pressure regulator by the fuel filter but the vender I ordered my stage II kit said that a 96 is the early system....I thought the early fuel system was from 95 to the mid 96 model year with the fpr on the fuel rail???? can someone please help.... I need to get back to my vender with an answer....He said my kit was ready and to make up my mind which system I need...even on star performance fuel system instructions it lists 95-96 (early)and 97-99 (late) now I'm even more confused now than when I started this thread.........Should I just tell him I need the kit for 97-99?

If your stock FPR is located back by the tank and NOT on the fuel rail then yes, tell them you need the 97-99 fuel kit.

that's what I thought, but it's always best to get a second opinion...I just didn't want to get the wrong fuel system and have to waist anymore time sending parts back and forth...Thanx

The difference is about 15' of vacuum line, and nothing else. it doesn't really matter.

Only the 95s don't need a MAP adjustment.

The basic STAR kit package doesn't include one anyway. At least, it didn't when i bought mine. The vendors may be offring them as part of the package, but STAR didn't/doesn't.

Star(well Wyatt) included one in the kit when i got it. I don't rememeber there ever being a distinction between a pre 97 and post 97 kit. there was just stage 1 and 2, as said above its just a matter of a vacuum line.

I got my kit from jtmotoring, took about a month...it's nice how he lists them on ebay that he has 3 or 4 kits...but really doesn't. Your right he doesn't give a shit after he sells you a kit. Plus I have no invoice/receipt for kit...I wonder if the IRS would care about this? If you have no luck I will personally call him for you...this guy pissed me off to! I will straighten him out. Also file a complaint internet fraud..or use ebay dispute.
