I just got some Nology wires and yea I know they are supposed to suck and cause misfires but I got em pretty cheap and I need wires. Has anybody had any experiences with em?
i have a set, i have not had any problems with them, i do not know where you heard they cause misfires? They are actually very effective!! i changes back to my magnecore wires and the friggin car runs like crap so i put the nology's back on! the key is to make sure you ground the ground straps from each wire very well, what i did was take the coil pack off and sand the little stubs on the valve cover where the coil bolts go in and mounted the ground straps under the coil pack one per bolt. then i got an 8 gauge monster cable and screwed it into the little bolt hole on the driver's side of the valve cover and connected it to the chassis for a better ground. ever since i got the wires i have had great luck with them in my book they are one of the better wires.
The 1rst models used to have trouble because of the lack of suppresion. they interfered with some ECUs and stereos. They fixed that yrs ago. I had them and stil do sitting in a box. They made the car run smoother, if not faster but by being grounded they can and may wear out prematurely or degrade over time as one of mine did (just as Magnecore claimed might happen). Incidently I have 3 that work great and one that causes misfires. My feeling is they are okay wires but hardly worth $150. They are also hediously too long for our application. $31 Cranes are what I'm sticking with unless I want some blue ones in which I'll go with $30 Acell wires.
