Just started the car up. The car is running rich( running new o2 sensor but not plugs). But the missing link is making vaccum sound from the hole in it, is it suppose to do that? Because if you block it it shuts the car off. When I rev'd the motor it also back fired. Any idea's anyone? Also I have read about missing link having a filter. Not sure if mine has one I bought it used.

I'm just brainstorming here, but if you need a quick fix until you can find a correct filter, try putting a piece of medical fabric tape over the hole. That stuff is breathable, but probably not so much that it would cause the vaccuum leak you're experiencing

wait why's the ML supposed to let air IN? the stock one doesn't. wouldn't that be the equivalent of a vac leak? i thought the sole purpose of the ML is to prevent the MAP sensor from seeing positive pressure?

I install the FCD for now and the car is running better. I have another question. Befor e the turbo my car ran quiet. One thing I did was drain the oil and removed oil pan to have a weld fitting put in, so the bottom of the car was open to air for like two weeks until I got back to working on it. Ok now the problem, On the cam/timing blet side of the motor I hear a bad almost like a bad bearing sound. Would having the motor open underneath cause something to dry inside? Plus I havn't got to drive the car yet because now I'm having big brake fitting issues. I was hoping a drive would clear thing up. My car has been put away in my trail for a little over a year and hasn't been run much before install the turbo. Anyone have any idea's what that sound might be?
