#82544, "Couple Questions About Turbo Install"

I have a 97 Dodge avenger, 2.0 420a motor. I have a t3 all bolted up and ready to go, just have to figure out my fuel setup and wastegate. I Have 450cc injectors dsm which should plug right in to my stock harness and rail, but do i need to get a different pump to keep up with them or will the stock one be sufficient? Im going to be running 6-7 psi, no more than that. Also, can you run a wastegate off of just one runner on the header and have sufficient boost control? To take care of the map sensor im using a 1 way check valve between the map sensor and the intake manifold, so it will not detect any boost. Any help at all here would be much appreciated.

Others will tell you to SEARCH as this topic has been covered to death. Seeing how I am at home with the sniffles, and in some what of a good mood, I will guide you in te right direction:

maybe on the injectors
Need to add another pump
Yes you can on the external
1 way CV, I'm assuming the missing link..correct?

Im not real sure, i thought the missing link was a metal bolt on piece? this is a checkvalve from discount, a 1way vacum check valve they sell for about 1.58. pretty much the same prinicipal, allows vacuum but does not allow boost to reach the map.

The guy that i sold my star stage 2 to, he got the little black box(fcd) and it actually crapped out on him after like 2 weeks. instead of buying the missing link, he went on some honda tech page and it shows how to make one using some vacuum line thing. i didnt really understand what he was talking about or how it works for that matter, but if someone has they link can they post it up?

Its from some honda how-to page.

hope that helps

welcome to the sight. you need to use the search function first before asking some of these questions, they have been asked and answered MANY times before.
But... to get you going... you cant use the 450's as they are. you need to do some resistor wiring in order to make them work.
and you dont technicaly run a wastegate off of a single runner on the manifold. you run it of the manifold itself, without preference to a single runner. it may be just a matter of symantics, so i hope you know what i mean.

you REALLY need to search for the answers to your questions and read a lot of the info in the archives regarding what you're asking, because by the sounds of some of your questions, you don't seem to have enough fundimental knowledge about turboing to keep your self out of trouble and your motor safe!

im not telling you to search just to be a dick (to many peoples suprise, im sure), but rather to give you the tools needed to educate yourself more...
good luck

And you most CERTAINLY will get heat for posting or asking ANYTHING about something from a "honda how-to" page. you can do it Ghetto, or you can do it right just get the ML and be done with it! your choice...

USED TO HAVE...Everything you wish you had, and then some...

You are somebody special Tim, you matter! - from the admins (but nobody likes you, because your username is just like that other guy's, and you whine a lot)
