even with the heat shields on the oem pipe, it's still smaller than the hrc pipe.

of course it would be bigger, it's 3"
im not posting pictures to "prove" that its bigger, everyone knows its bigger...im just posting pics so people who want to see the difference can see a visual comparison...im not posting it like it s revolutionary news.

umm someone was selling 3" DP's for the star kit for quite some time. i'm not sure if they still do. just search. there was a group buy and everything. that one came out before HRC released theirs so all the HRC owners were all jealous and beggin for someone to make a nice dp for the HRC kit.

i remember that...there were also (sadly) lots of hrc owners asking if the star downpipe would fit on the 16g.

emoji That's the easy end.

Can you show us the OTHER end, the one that doesn't clear the A/C lines, dipstick tube, and power steering pump? Both off the car and installed.

Thanks.

right...mine cleared everything perfectly. i dont know where you heard that it doesnt because theres only like 4 people on the board that have this pipe right now. but ill take some pics of it for you. it only took about 15 minutes to install and thats including backing out the studs in the turbine to replace them with the allen bolts for the eliminator pipe.

YUou better relocate that wiring fast it will melt! My star 2 3/4 started to ruin the plastic jacket on the o2 wires.

from what i heard about the star 3" was too many people complained about the price and time it took to make them. I thought about making 3" kits but i dont want the hassell of all the variants that come into play. This is how mine fits:

the grey is all ceramic coating

Do you think there would be clearance issues with the DP wrapped in thermal heat wrap?? I want to get a 3" DP this summer, and I was thinking about heat wrapping it, I wonder how tight it will be?

The heat wrapping is really not that great. I tried it and didnt like the results and i used the silicone spray you are supposed to cover it with. Ceramic coating is really nice and not really that expensive.

either of the two mentioned above will clear the pipe just fine....i really dont know why anyone could have trouble installing this, my car is fully equipped and i had no clearance issues with AC, PS, oil dipstick, etc

That's funny, b/c I have thermal wrap on my welded stocker dp and really like it. I've had great success ... I got the stuff Summit sells and I was thinking I would probably do it again.
