Is anyone familiar with the software that is included with the portfueler? Isn't this just a stripped down version of the DFI Gen 7 software, which is just fuel maps and the such?

It allows you to monitor RPM and Boost levels. It also has a crappy datalogging feature which will graph the boost, rpm, and injector usuage rates. It also will highlight what value it is looking up in the fuel map in real time while running the car.

It looks like they could have taken like 30 more minutes of coding to make this software have alot better interface. For instance, look at these gauges....



WTF are the lines around the needle and what values do they represent?

you can also look at all the data at once by using this window...

holy shit, what about the injector maps? Are they at least decent? How precise can we tune? How many load cells are there, and it's a 2d map i take it. for example, AEM is 16x16, EManage is 12x12

doing research..
i think i'll go with the ms. i really need the best tunability though. have looked into aem ems and decided it's a bit out of my range for now.

i like the looks of the megasquirt also
but i understand you get a check engine light with it and since my job moves me around the country a lot i dont want to get in a place where they check codes
