i ahve been noticing for the past few days that i am not the least bit excited about the 100 horsepower jump im about to get with my turbo kit. ive narrowed it down to these possible reasons: 1) i am reminded of the deep shit im into with loans and debts, $2200 of which is for the kit. 2) i am not looking forward to the install, fuck that, i fear the install 3) i am not looking forward to the results of boosting my car and running it at a hard 6psi with 150 compression in #4. (again, fuck that, i am afraid of what my ring is gonna do because i cant afford a rebuild now) 4) im not too self-confident about the extent of the ass whooping i will be placing on my two friends honduhs (1 accord VTEC - 160HP and 1 CRX with a B16 swap - 180HP with bolts ons - both at the flywheel) the accord and i run dead even now, he is auto, and ive got alot of added weight. 5) it sickens me to know im entered in teh nopi nationals next week with a fake-installed turbo kit. blegh! did any of you feel the same way? cause i hope i feel better after its actually running. http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt --------------------------------------------------------------- VANILLA RICE

I feel you on the worried boutta blow part but it is partially due to my bad experience with NOS. I don't push my baby everyday...maybe a lil boost now and then but don't dog your shit. I know all of you turbos are still in debt like I am even after a freakin year of payments on the card. DOn't worry bro just take it easy..like a virgin..niceeee...and slow.....then ..BANG HER HARD, DEEP AND FAST LIKE A $2 WHORE!!!..just playing..really

I was a little nervous before attempting the installation...it is natural.
This will pass. Once you get past the initial install, things start to make a lot more sense. You will get a lot more comfortable working on the engine and understanding its limits.
After everything is installed, and you feel the effects of boost, and your opinions will change.
And as for the compression problem.... My friend has a 91 GSX that has 120psi in one cylinder and has been running that way for the past year at least. 17psi no problem and 13.3 in the 1/4.

All I can say is that, once you feel boost you won't regret it! Haha then again when you see the hole you just burned in your pocket it makes me think...

I wasnt all that excited either. when I got the money for it I was a little happy. but when I got the kit i wasn't all that excited. i had it for about 3-4wks before I decided to install it. I damn sure wasn't exited during the install. I was too busy checking for spilled oil and looking at the gauges the first day of driving. Shit I'm more exited about shopping for a BOV then I ever was getting the turbo kit itself. I didnt even want a turbo kit I just couldn't pass up the group buy prices.

6 psi of boost? yeah, that crx is still going to pull hard on you. i owned a hb with a b16a swap, and a turbo GS, and at 6 lbs. of boost, i know that my hatch could take it. not cus it made more hp, but the simple horsepower to weight ratio, and judging by your heavy 19's and stereo equipment, and all your show stuff, don't be surprised if you get beat. not that i am saying there is anything wrong with the show look, but a crx with a b16a is fast.

wel i used a horsepower calcuator to figure quarter miles times at both of our weights and power outputs. mine came out to 14.2 @95 and the crx showed 14.4 @92 i think. http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt --------------------------------------------------------------- VANILLA RICE

WOOHOO it came in today, im getting a little anxious now, but looking at this load of parts and shit makes me much more worried about the install. that and the fact that i have to do all this work under the car at the fuel tank and oil pan and i have no idea how to do any of it. my thoughts...HRC has a great instruction manuel but a few pictures are lacking and sketchy (Should be in color and from a farther perspective so you can see teh orientation of teh car in the picture) rest assured i will be on the board with many questions unless a HRC turbod car owner wants to come help me with the install? http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt --------------------------------------------------------------- VANILLA RICE
