I've used the search but I cant get a definate answer on this...I'm running a stage 2 HRC with my stock injectors and am replacing the stock IN-LINE pump with JUST a Walbro 255HP IN-TANK. Will the pump be able to handle this at 6-8 psi? It should right?

easily! i am running 10-16psi on stock primaries and 410cc secondaries with the 8-inj set-up and all i have is the in-tank walbro.

your good to go for 6-8psi.

What kind of fuel pressure are you seeing at 6-8 psi? If you're going to be going over 85psi you might want to think about getting some larger injectors. The walbro flows plenty but isn't meant for high-pressure.

Well on my stock injectors, idle is about 50psi and when I boost @ 6 psi it goes to 80-85. According to what i read on http://www.2gnt.com/www/corbin/example.html I am on target for my fuel management issues but I also have a 2nd fuel pump that I borrowed from someone helping me get there. My concerns really is to give back the pump I borrowed and just replace it with just the walbro 255lhp HP that I bought. I bought the High Pressure pump just to be on the safe side and I have a Vortech SFMU which is doing great.

According to HRC's numbers, a Walbro 255lph-HP is just freaking barely enough for a Stage 1 but not a Stage 2. And that's ONLY if you do the fuel pump rewire mod to get 14v to the pump at all times. The non-HP version is not enough for anything on stock injectors.

Personally, I'd rather see you put in 310cc injectors and run a 255lphHP than do it HRC's way, especially if you're removing the inline.

The reason Tim can run 18psi on a Walbro255 is because he's running 650cc injectors! Larger injectors allow you to run lower fuel pressures.

HRC specs for 235cc Injectors:
Idle FP: 47-55psi
6psi: 80-90psi
9psi: 105-110psi

Walbro Pump specs:
http://www.stealth316.com/images/flowtest-walbro.gi f
http://www.vfaq.com/proj-pics/pump/graph-Walbros-01.gi f

As you can see, the Walbro 255lph-HP is the ONLY one that can even put out 100+ psi.

On top of that, if you only have 91 octane fuel, you'll run lean anyways. You're pushing the bare minimum fuel pressure and flow for your setup at only 6psi. If that's what you want to do, go for it.

Read Dino's post in this thread:
http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=17813

If you want a simple, straight answer:
Can I run only a Walbro 255lph-HP and boost 6psi MAX? Yes, for a little while, and then your engine will blow.
Can I run only a Walbro 255lph-HP and boost 8psi? NO
Can I run only a Walbro 255lph-HP, upgrade my injectors, and boost 10psi? YES

I appreciate the info...I need to do a little more searching i guess.

Now you also said that you'd rather see me put in 310cc injectors and run a 255lphHP than do it HRC's way, especially if i'm removing the inline. If I decide to go that way, Do you happen to know what the idle fuel pressure should be with the 310's and the walbro???
