#82024, "Star Kit 2 ownders plz help"

I'm currently having trouble with the intercooler kit...I saw pictures of kits online and it shows three intercooler pipings; however, I got four...so I tried assembling anyways; but nothing works. Normally, the star kit should have a pipe that runs from the tb to the intercooler right? But I dont have that..in fact, it only runs up to the intake box area and doesnt seem to connect with any other of the pipes. Also, should the tubular compressor be facing up? I kept it up when I was Stage 1 (connecting tb to compressor). If its possible could anybody post pics of their star kits. Thanks

You're supposed to have 4 pipes (2 from tb to ic and 2 from ic to turbo), you might have to play with them but they'll fit. The turbo outlet faces down though, i'll try to post some pics later.

No, you'll only have three pipes. One pipe from the compressor to the J shaped crossover pipe, and one from the IC outlet to the TB.

The compressor outlet should be facing down. Post a picture of the pipes you have and i'll tell you which is which or if you're missing some.

Your lucky the older kit only had 2 pipes and was no fun to assemble let me tell you.

Post picts of the four pipes and number them so can tell you which one goes where. Like dino said clock your turbo down so the rubber elbow is almost touching the coolant pipe.

I just looked at mine again, it has 4 pipes; one that wraps around the top of the IC, that one joins the sorta u-shaped pipe that goes to the nitrile connector; the other two, the one with bov flange to the tb and the other one to the driver side IC outlet. sorry i haven't posted pics.

Welp, I was all excited since I finally got everything worked out...for those with 95-96 bumpers, did any of you have trouble putting that shit on?? Well anyways...as soon as I turned the key....I got nothing...not even a crank. Engine code reads 12. I'm not quite sure what that is...what could I have accidentily messed with? Dying battery? I really dont think I damaged the starter in any way. I was changed my valve cover gasket however but the coil pack and everything looks good...even if it is the battery my gauges and everythign still work, but I dont hear my fuel pump starting when I turn to ACC and car just wont crank...any ideas?

check to make sure all of the power wires are hooked up to the battery and starter. Even if your ECU was unhooked it would still crank over. Not sure what you did but thats wierd the starter doesn't even turn the engine over.

Did you disconnect the solinoid wire when you installed the pipe that goes to the TB? Make sure it didnt come loose for any reason. Dont worry you just missed something tha tyou disconnected. Remeber there are 2 sub wires that go the pos term of the battery, dont forget to connect those as well.

ah man...I've checked all the wires and everything seems to be okay. I'm pretty sure I didnt accidentily remove anything and sure I didnt disconnect any wires on purpose. The only thing I can think of right now is the battery because I believe I didnt close the door completely and left for vacation for two weeks...but shouldnt I at least get a crank from the car when I jump it? I used those portable jumper systems, are they not powerful enough? I checked the power on the thing and its still fully charged, so I have no idea right now.

If your battery is that dead then sure you may not get any crank at all. one way to veryify is to disconnect the solinoid wire and use a test light to see if you get 12+ when someone turns the key. otherwise put a charger on it and let it site for an hour.

Well, it was definetly not the battery...shit, what could I have touched that wouldnt allow the car to even crank up at all? Could it be a bad coil pack? Something tells me it shouldnt...any suggestions?

Man, I cann't think of anything that you mite have disconnected other than connections to the battery. One thing that I can think of right now that would not let the starter turn over would be the clutch safety switch if you are 5 speed. But you would not have touched that but it would be something to check.
