What size hole should be drilled in oil pan for the oil return from turbo (STAR) ?

My biggest bit that I have is 3/8". Should it be bigger?

I just used the biggest bit that would fit in the chuck of the drill i was using... it's not as big as the return pipe, but it's a lot bigger than the feed line, so it should be okay. Just go with the biggest bit you have, as long as you feel safe with it.

Won't there be like restricted flow or oil clots forming as the hole in the oil pan is significantly smaller than the oil return tube?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid or something...

I couldn't find one that was 5/8" in size...

oh well, I used a 9/16" drill bit...and it's close enough emoji

I don't want to make the hole any bigger, cause then it'll be misaligned.. emoji
