#81849, "when car start doesnt it damage turbo?"

well .i was thinkin about it and since the oil all drains back into the pan from the turbos return line when the car is off wouldnt first starting the car again mean the turbo is not oiled up properly causing damage? or no?

realistically.... its less than 2 seconds until your turbo sees oil after the motor is started.

Plus you still have oil on the bearings in the turbo. It takes a while for it to all drip out.

And at startup your turbine does not spin at operating range speeds...

No more than it damages the rest of the motor, which also doesn't have oil pressure when it starts.
